Our stay at the Rosemont Inn was one of the most pleasant experiences we have ever had. Every detail was provided for, from the beautiful room decor complete with monogrammed towels to the delicious breakfast and dinner served on lovely china. Linda and Howard were most gracious hosts and we truly felt welcome in their home. We anxiously look forward to our return trip.

Third stay at the finest B&B on the Ohio River. Live in an 1880's river captain's home, and be treated like a king. This beautiful mansion is fully renovated, in some ways beyond any expectations!
Innkeeper & Chef Linda makes you believe you're in your own home, except that it's like nothing at "home". Not only spectacular Breakfasts (as one MIGHT expect), but dinners to order out of this world. This place has to be seen to be believed.
A place to visit often, and enjoy the hospitality which "used to be".

Rosemont Inn is a special place. Not only because of the breath taking view of the Ohio River, The charm of the beautiful 19th century Inn, the incredible food but the care and hospitality of Linda and Howard the owners and Inn keepers. Because they are special people, they make your stay special. This is truly a little bit of heaven on the banks of the Ohio.

The Rosemont is a beautiful and relaxing getaway spot for one night or a few. Linda and Howard will do everything possible to make your stay pleasant, relaxing and unforgettable. Everyone should visit this B&B once because when you do you will go back again and again. From the artwork and 1800's charm of the house, to the working victrola, and magnificent view of Ohio River, the house is filled with history and beauty. Vevay, IN reminds you of days past of a peaceful, quiet town of yesteryears. Howard made the stay great explaining anything we wanted to know about the house and surrounding area, and Linda's great culinary skill makes me want to eat breakfast there every morning. The Inn also features great amenities such as a firepit on the River banks where you can sit, and sip local wine and watch river traffic pass by as the sun sets over a relaxing and peaceful day of shopping or as I preffered absoluty nothing at all. The Inn also boasts a modern hot tub complimentary wifi and a guest computer. The Rosemont also is a great deal we spent two nights in the Charlotte, with a magnificent river view, and a beautiful four-poster canopy queen bed. Howard and Linda also helped make my wife's birthday even more special with rose petals, lit candles, and chilled wine waiting in the room on the day of our arrival on tuesday. The Rosemont is also very well priced and a great deal we paid roughly $300 for two nights, breakfast both mornings and a wonderful steak dinner on Wednesday evening with some of the best corn on the cob I have ever had. The Inn nestled just down river from Markland Dam and only 7 miles from Belterra is an easy and well worth it drive from Indianapolis, Cinncinati, or Louisville. I would recommend the Rosemont to anyone, and my wife and I have already made reservations, in September for our anniversary. The Rosemont Inn, cozy, warm, wonderfully staffed, a great getaway for any age group, make reservations today, no right now!

My wife and I stayed 3 nights over the 2008 Memorial Day weekend with the Awand's at their Rosemont Inn. Truly an unexpected pleasure. We cannot say enough for the way we were treated and for the Rosemont Inn itself. The view of the Ohio River is great, the 1881 Victorian mansion is beautiful and Howard and Linda make you feel like royality but a family member at the same time. This was our first stay at a B&B. I must say every other B&B has a very long way to go to match the hospitality we were afforded by Howard and Linda. I seriously doubt anyone else could beat them. From being greeted at the front door at arrival any time of the day or night with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee to just sitting on the porch talking, the experience was superb. We have already made our reservations for Memorial Day weekend 2009. In fact we may show up earlier than that if time allows. If you want a tremendous experience, you really need to call them and stay a night or more. I promise you will never be treated better.
P.S. Watch out for their Golden Retriever. You will fall in love with him and you will want to take him home with you but you cannot. He is as wonderful old dog.

This was my second stay at the Rosemont Inn. Both visits were wonderful. Howard and Linda are very gracious hosts and the breakfasts are unbelievably delicious. The Inn sits right on the Ohio River. Howard and Linda are lovingly restoring the Inn.
This last stay was a birthday getaway. Howard had a gigantic piece of Copper River salmon flown in fresh from Alaska, for my birthday dinner. It was magnificiently prepared by Linda, who also made me a special birthday dessert.
There are numerous wineries in the area and the quaint river town in nearby Madison, Indiana is a great place to visit.

My husband and I went to this bed and breakfast after it was highly recomended by family members. This was our first bed and breakfast we stayed at, and we enjoyed every minute. The only regret I had was not eating dinner there! They are wonderful cooks. We loved the hottub and can't wait to return!

My wife and I were looking for a nice, quiet, and romantic get-away to celebrate our 1st anniversary. The Rosemount Inn was exactly that. The owners were wonderful and the food was great. We have already decided we will be back. We’d like to thank the owners for their hospitality and warmth and recommended that you stay at the Rosemount.

A home away from home! Howard and Linda make us feel like family from out of town. Thier a wonderful couple and have well behaved "kids" (the four legged kind!). I just couldn't stay at another B&B, my expectations are just too high. I love the small town feel, good food and layed back atmosphere.

Well, when Jeff and I arrived a tad bit early at Rosemont Inn, we were warmly greeted by Howard. Linda was out shopping for items needed for our dinner. He immediately offered us something to drink, and we both opted for a refreshing glass of wine, yummy! I went up to slip on the comfy house slippers provided to the guests. My feet were happy, my mouth was happy, and I was happy to be back at the Rosemont Inn for my husband's 50th b-day. We chatted with Howard and Linda breezed in and asked if we'd like to sample her potato soup or have a salad to start our dinner with. We both selected the potato soup which could have been a meal in itself! Linda graciously shared her recipe with me! Linda is an awesome chef, and always wants her guests to be well fed and content. Jeff and I have NEVER been disappointed!!! She also is pleased when guests praise her cooking and return "cleaned off plates" for Howard to clean up. The food is plentiful, and if there is any food left on a plate - it is simply because Linda gave us too generous of a portion. Howard has been observed giving guests "second helpings " of the meal ordered. The first night Jeff and I were there Linda surprised us by baking a moist chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday Jeff" written on it. Her thoughtfulness and generosity warmed our hearts. The breakfasts served are simply delish! It is so nice waking up to the smells of breakfast being made and realize I'm not the one doing all of the work!!! Guests sit together around a charming antique table set with china, flowers, and a variety of beverages. Linda's breakfasts are not only scrumptious, they are a sight to behold. Her presentation is superb. One doesn't have to eat lunch after one of Linda's breakfasts, you are pleasantly satisfied. The bedrooms are unreal. Howard and Linda have beautiful paintings that accent the walls, high beds with exquisite comforters, soft pillows, and ironed sheets. I especially enjoy using their own blend of soap and shampoo provided for the guests. Finally, the room we chose overlooked the peaceful Ohio River. If one feels so inclined, they could sit on the front porch gazing at the river, walk a few feet away from the Inn and enjoy sitting in the hot tub, and or have a cheerful fire in the fire pit. We are always eager to arrive at the Rosemont where Howard and Linda welcome guests with a smile, a story, and a beverage. We thoroughly enjoy our stay and although hate leaving, we eagerly anticipate a repeat visit. One last suggestion - stay at least 2 nights!

An incredibly beautiful Victorian home!! The owners were extremely down to earth and wonderfully pleasant! They had a love for what they do and have a love for knowledge of history, which is shown throughout the home. Breakfast each morning was delicious. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the dinner menu also. There is quite a bit of history throughout the town of Vevay, and also in nearby Madison, IN. For wine lovers, this is definitely a place to stay; as there are 4 wineries/tasting rooms within 30-40 minutes of Rosemont Inn!

Our stay at the Rosemont Inn in Vevay, Indiana was exquisite! It began with our charming innkeepers, Linda & Howard, who shared their Victorian Mansion with stories, historical facts and made us feel right at home. We have stayed in Bed & Breakfast Inns for many years but none would compare with this elegant home with it's unique charm because this establishment is a labor of love. Linda's gourmet meals were fabulous and Howard entertained us with stories of the family who first built the home with pictures and newspaper clippings of their lives. The restoration is unbelieveable because of the sincere desire to restore it to it's beauty and grace of it's 'glory days'. The art and all it's history, the furnishings and their origins and the Victrola with songs from my dad's era brought me to tears. We have already told family and friends about this incredible find and plan to return many times. if you are looking for a enchanting and captivating getaway, then turn to southeastern Indiana and the Rosemont Inn in Vevay. Howard and Linda, Our sincere appreciation and thanks for welcoming us so graciously and seeing to our need. We were treated like royalty and as charming as good friends a special time together. Your Inn ranks at the very top for others to emulate but we're not sure anyone could top this Inn anywhere in the world.

Our three night stay at the Rosemont was intended as an attitude adjustment away from the January blahs – a quiet time to rediscover and to recharge and to reflect on the things most important to us. It proved all of that and more. There were several things worthy of special note which made the occasion memorable for us.
First, the Rosemont itself was truly a magnificent old Midwest river town mansion and innkeepers Howard and Linda are restoring it with all the love, care and research such a mansion deserves. We experienced the opulence of the period thanks to Howard’s tireless research as the curator of the estate. Yet we sacrificed very little of the comfort found in the best hotels of the present day.
The Rosemont site itself sets it apart from many B&Bs. Located, literally, on the bank of the mighty Ohio River the front porch and lawn offer an unparalleled view of the river and it’s utility yet today – a bit of peace in itself.
Another thing that sets the Rosemont apart in our experience is the optional evening menu of fine dining – the result of Linda’s experience in the food and entertainment business and her skill in and love of the kitchen. We did not have to venture out to find great food in the evenings.
Finally, the camaraderie and hospitality was at once exciting and peaceful – Howard as curator and Linda as innkeeper were entertaining hosts. Conversations over an evening glass of wine pleasantly covered a wide variety of topics from restoration to radar!
All of the above plus our interest in the continuing restoration and upgrading of the Rosemont Mansion have us planning our second visit for sometime this fall.

Each year my husband and I stay at a Bed & Breakfast on our anniverary. Our stay at the Rosemont was one of our favorites!
We arrived fairly late, approximately 10:00 p.m., and was greeted by Howard. Howard gave us a tour of the 1881 Victorian mansion and provided us with history of the home and the beautiful antiques and artwork throughout the house.
We stayed in the James K room with a beautiful view overlooking the Ohio River. The room was beautifully decorated. We had a king size bed with a very comfortable mattress. The linens had a wonderful fresh scent. There was also a hair dryer provided and terry cloth robes. Just outside our room in the hallway there were refreshments in case we needed a light snack or drink.
The next morning we met Linda. She prepared a delicious gourmet breakfast and shared with us that she also prepares dinner for her guests, upon request, and that she will be featured on the Food Network the end of January. How exciting!
As we were preparing to leave, Linda took our picture on the front steps of the house and gave it to us for a keepsake.
We had an awesome experience and plan to return in the very near future!

Our stay at the Rosemont Inn was by all accounts a tremendous experience! We were greeted by Howard who immediately treated us to a tour of the home, highlighting the home’s charm and historic value. Some of our favorites were the original carpeting in the dining room from the house’s construction, the impressive and captivating collection of paintings hanging throughout the house, and the beautiful antique furniture found around every corner. When he showed us our room, we were immediately stunned by its grace and beauty. Overlooking the Ohio River, we were treated to a luxurious antique four-post bed, an alcohol-burning fireplace, and an array of modern amenities to complement our stay. Howard was most helpful in providing information about local attractions, such as wineries in Vevay and in nearby Madison. He even had hours of operation handy! That evening, Linda offered us a delectable meal of creamy tomato bisque, dilled chicken, and fresh vegetables. Of course, the meal was complemented by wine from a local winery. The greatest part of the meal was Howard and Linda’s hospitality. Naturally born hosts, Howard and Linda joined us for a wonderful chat about the Inn, some of their other business ventures, and a little personal bit about themselves. Their conversation was beguiling and really made us to feel at home. That evening, I slept more soundly than I had in months. Never have we had a more enjoyable, relaxing, luxurious stay in any inn, B&B, or hotel. Howard and Linda have created an environment that is so welcoming and friendly that I can’t stop telling my friends and co-workers about them. You will be hard-pressed to find hosts better than Howard and Linda, nor a B&B as spectacular as the Rosemont Inn.
